Start off by telling us your story! Describe your education & professional background leading up to this point in your life.
I graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S degree in Recreation in Tourism. My first career after college was in IT consulting and database solutions. The door to Eberl opened for me in 2001 where I started in a human resources administrator role. The company was MUCH smaller than- I think there were less than 10 of us in the office! Of course, the company has grown rapidly since then, and I have been fortunate to grow along with it. I have held a variety of positions from dispatcher to deployment coordinator, marketing manager, and presently, Director of Staffing.

Was there a defining moment for you that solidified your interest in this industry? Or did your introduction into this career happen fluidly? Tell us about it.
When I joined Eberl, I did not intend to make a career in this industry. I was studying to be a paralegal and had plans to work in law once my schooling was complete. That was almost 20 years ago, and here I am still serving mother nature!
Eberl’s mission, To Be There When You Need Us, fuels our business’ initiatives each & every day. What does this objective mean to you, personally or professionally?
To me, this means working hard to place the right resource in the right place at the right time. By providing opportunities for our adjusters that are a match to their skills and preferences, we ensure our clients are getting the best service possible.
What are you MOST passionate about? How does that influence your day-to-day actions?
My passion is travel! I love exploring the food, history and culture of a place. Among my favorite destinations: India, Egypt, Thailand, Morocco, Kenya and Turkey. Visiting other countries gives me a deep appreciation and respect for beliefs and cultures that may be different from mine. One important thing traveling reminds me of, is that we are more alike than different! No matter where you go in the world, we all seem to share similar hopes, dreams and struggles.
Describe your vision for the future of this industry and how Eberl fits into it.
As our society becomes increasingly accustomed to “on–demand”, we will need to find ways to support our adjusters and clients more efficiently. Being able to provide a variety of cost-competitive services will be the key to longevity and providing work opportunities for our adjusters. While the claims process and duties of an adjuster are evolving, there will always be a need for motivated, service-minded individuals to be a part of claims handling.
What advice do you have to share with those seeking a fulfilling career in this industry?
Always be willing to learn and improve. Be open to new ways of doing things and invest the time in professional and personal development. Maintain a work/life balance- burnout is real in a 24/7/365 business like ours. Make it a priority to do things outside of work that you enjoy!
