By July 1, 2016February 3rd, 2020No Comments

The team at Colorado State University Department of Atmospheric Science has released their latest Atlantic hurricane season forecast. As with the April and June forecasts, they anticipate a near-average season.

Here is a summary of the forecast;

2016

Probabilities for at least ONE MAJOR hurricane landfall for these coastal areas;

  • Entire U.S. Coastline- 50%
  • U.S. East Coast, including Peninsula Florida- 30%
  • Gulf Coast from Florida Panhandle to Brownsville- 29%

Predictions aside, the familiar mantra remains-  “All it takes is one…” Coastal residents ( and adjusters ) need to remain prepared throughout the season!
